* CGM sold separately.

† If glucose values are predicted to be above 180 mg/dL, Control-IQ technology calculates a correction bolus using the Personal Profile settings and a target of 110 mg/dL and delivers 60% of that value.

‡ Bolus delivery from the t:connect mobile app requires a compatible smartphone model and operating system, an app update, a remote software update on the t:slim X2 insulin pump and additional training. Only available to customers who reside in the United States.

Important Safety Information

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my Tandem Insulin pump have a warranty?

Yes. Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. (“Tandem”) warrants the t:slim X2 Insulin Pump against defects in materials and workmanship, under normal use, for the period of 4 years from the original date of shipment of the pump to the original end use purchaser (the “Warranty Period”). To see the full warranty policy please visit https://support.tandemdiabetes.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500011451862-What-is-the-warranty-on-my-t-slim-X2-insulin-pump-.

Is my Tandem Insulin Pump waterproof?

Tandem pumps are watertight (IPX 7), tested to a depth of three feet for up to 30 minutes. Users can have peace of mind knowing that their pump is safe in the event of accidental submersion.

Will my Tandem Insulin Pump work while I sleep?

Yes, there is actually a Sleep Activity mode. When a Sleep Activity is turned on, the range of treatment values are lower and narrower since there are fewer variables that affect glucose values during sleep, for example you are not eating or exercising.

When Control-IQ technology predicts a glucose value less than or equal to 112.5 mg/dL, it will start to decrease basal insulin delivery and will stop basal insulin delivery if the predicted glucose value will be less than or equal to 70 mg/dL. Start and stop the sleep setting twice daily.

The ability for Control-IQ technology to achieve the target glucose range when a Sleep Activity is enabled is partially dependent on how long you sleep.

In order for Control-IQ technology to operate ideally, you should plan to sleep at least 5 consecutive hours when enabling or scheduling the Sleep Activity.

Which Insulin can I use with the Tandem Insulin Pump?

Only use Humalog or NovoLog U-100 insulin, as any lesser or greater concentration can result in serious health consequences. Only Humalog and NovoLog have been tested by Tandem, and found to be compatible for use in the t:slim Insulin Pump. It is not intended for use with any other delivery substance. Never fill your tubing while your infusion set is connected to your body. Doing so can result in unintended delivery of insulin, which can result in serious injury or death.

How can I tell if my Tandem Insulin Pump is working?

Tap the insulin level icon in the upper right corner of the Home screen. Your pump will display the name of the user's active profile, the current basal rate, the time and amount of the last bolus, and whether or not they are using Control-IQ technology.
